My sweet Brooksie Bear

30 years and the most amazing gift I've ever been blessed with...becoming a mother!!
He LOVES blankets:hiding under them, walking around like a ghost, and being pulled around the wood
floors on them.
Favorite hiding spot, behind the couch in the front room, opening and closing the shutters.

Brooks' Baby Dedication

Sunday was a wonderful day for our family. We had Brooks infant baptism that morning and it was my actual birthday. Brooks did really well and didn't protest the pastor holding him. The second picture is a shot of the screen where they were running a slide show with pictures of Brooks. It also included a scripture and statement of hope we chose for him:
"The fear of the Lord teaches a man wisdom and humility comes before honor." -Proverbs 15:33
~We hope you always live with high integrity, extreme humility, pure honesty, and a loving passion to follow the Lord.
We feel so blessed to have been given this precious baby boy!!

My 30th Birthday Celebration

Friday night, Bryan rented a limo for my birthday and we headed downtown Seattle for a little celebrating. We had dinner at Icon Grill and then went to Amber a martini bar for a few drinks. Finally, we ended up at Tia Luna and ended our night with some dancing. It was so much fun...the limo dropped us off at 2am and we were exhausted Saturday morning. Wish you all could've been there to celebrate with us!!

18 month check-up

Yesterday, I took Brooks in for his check-up:

weight: 26.8 pds (60%) height: 33 5/8 in(85%) head: 19 5/8 in(95%)

We like to think he'll be tall, skinny, and very smart!! :) He got one shot and didn't cry. Brooks is very active and we spend lots of time outside playing with the thousands of balls his daddy has purchased for him. I am quite sure that he will play many sports just like Bryan did. Since he is so active he's covered in bruises, and I voiced my concern to his doctor. She assured me that it is proof to her that he's not parked in front of a tv all day long and is exploring and doing what a toddler should be...that made mommy feel much better!!
