Our Anniversary July 22, 2000
Eight years ago yesterday, this sweet hubby of mine and I walked down the aisle. Five moves, one adorable dog, and one cutie-tootie little boy later and we are still happily cruising through life together!! I love you Bryan and am so thankful that you are the husband I get to come home to each day.
B's boss was in town yesterday for work and spent the night with us. We haven't celebrated yet, so I'll post again when we do.

Traveling thru the month of June part 2...
June 19-21 Houston, TX
Hotel ZaZa downtown in the Museum District..fun, swanky little hotel
B and I got away for a few days of relaxation. I failed to take one pic, so I'll just give a brief summary. Thursday night we went to dinner with B's boss and his wife, Chris & Kristy, at Soma. ChefRobertGadsby served a tasting menu to us that was out of this world. He's traveled and worked all over the world and was very interesting to talk to. Chris is opening a restaurant in Houston with Robert sometime in October and we can't wait to visit. Friday, B played golf at River Oaks Country Club with Chris and two CEO's that they do business with. George Bush SR has a home on this course. I headed to the spa for a massage and then an afternoon of shopping. That evening we had dinner at the Monarch Restaurant in the hotel. One of the valet guys told me that Brad Pitt had been to the hotel several weeks before we arrived, but that he had to leave b/c the pap. found out!! How cool would that have been to see him? Saturday,we slept in, ordered room service breakfast, and did a little more shopping before heading back home. My dad came up to keep Brooks for us.
June 26-28 Dallas, TX
The Stoneleigh Hotel..another fun/swanky place in Uptown
All dressed up before heading out on the town.
Stacy and I had a really great weekend together. Friday night, we went to dinner at a yummy Mexican restaurant and then to the movies. Saturday, we spent the morning at the spa, had lunch at Cheesecake Factory, and shopped our little hearts out. That night, we had dinner at a great steak place near the hotel. Sunday, we slept in and then had lunch before heading home. It was just the best weekend of pampering and all things girly. Stac, I had so much fun with you and can't wait to do it again soon.
*I would like to ask all of my readers to pray for Stacy and her family. They are really going through some tough times right now and I'd encourage you to please lift them up in prayer. Her dad was diagnosed with cancer in the spring. While we were in Dallas, he had surgery on his colon to remove the cancer. Girls, this was one month ago and he is still there. They all live in Amarillo and it is killing Stacy and her sister that they can't be there with their parents. Stacy's mother in law was also diagnosed with skin cancer about a month ago and has just had surgery to remove it. When it rains, it pours!!

I got an award!!
My sweet friend, J.Leah, gave me an award several weeks ago and I'm just now responding. I know, I am the slacker blogger, but at least I'm doing it right?? In my opinion, she is just the best...let me list a few things that I love about her:
*her red hair
*she's so talented/creative
*she is FUNNY..we laugh a lot together
*she loves dogs just as much as I do
*she's the best mommy to Rhett & Alexee
*the friendship that we share is just a blessing
*the relationship she has with Christ
*she's always thinking of & doing for other's
I could go on & on, because I love everything about her..thanks J for the happiness that you bring into my life!!
OK, so my post is going to be a little different. Instead of passing the award along, I'd like to introduce a few new blogs that I've added to our page and a few that I just love to read. Please check them out and leave a comment. Everyone loves to get them!!
Holly....and I have been friends since childhood. We are from the same hometown and she is my oldest friend. We have so much in common and I love every second that we spend together. Her little boy, Duncan, and Brooks are big buddies and we have monthly play dates with them. She has just started their family blog and is having some trouble adding pictures, so bear with her. She should have it up and running soon.
Ame....and I have just become friends in the past few months and I feel so blessed that God put her into my life. Bryan and I move with his job every couple of years and each time I pray that He will place someone special in my path. We are work out buddies and have so much fun together. Her little boy, Blake, and Brooks are also big buds!! She just started her blog and it's already super cute. By the way, she is Mrs. Creative!! She's helping me decorate our house..pics to come of that real soon.
Julie....and I taught 2nd grade together in Amarillo, TX right after Bryan and I got married. We had so much fun and she is just the cutest!! Every time I make the trip back to A to see friends, I enjoy hanging out with her. She has two adorable boys and they are always up to something fun!! Go check em' out...
Angela & Flo....are sister's and also from my hometown. Flo and I are childhood friends and I spent many a night's at their home growing up. They are both super fun and creative girls. They have the cutest blogs and I love keeping up with them and their families!! Head on over and see what they've been up to...
On a bit of a sour note, I've run across some really rude things in the blogging world recently. Someone left an awful comment on Angela's blog last week that I just thought was un-called for. I also stumbled across a blog (can't remember the name or how I found her blog) that had received a rude comment on her grammar and spelling. The people who left the comments posted anonymously. I think that if you don't have anything nice to say, keep your mouth shut!!

Traveling thru the month of June part 1...
Abilene, Texas
Celebrating Father's Day and Bryan's 33rd birthday with the Boyer family!!
3 generations of Boyer's: Bryan, Brooks, & Bob
Seems like all we did was eat that weekend...is that what you all do when you spend time with family? Eat..Eat..Eat!! My uncle Dale also met us for lunch that day.
Can't figure out where the ball has gone and why he can't crawl under the bridge to get it.
We had a fun weekend in Abilene. Got to eat at all of our fav's: Abuelos, Rosa's, Joe Allens BBQ and Perinni Ranch...I'm sure I gained 10 pounds over the weekend. Friday when we arrived a lot of B's family came over to Linsey and Davy's new home to visit. It was nice to see them and catch up!! L & D just moved back to Abilene from Midland. He took a job with Allied and Linsey got a job teaching 2nd grade. Saturday, we took Brooks to the new sports complex in town and he had a ball. There is a putt putt course at the complex, so we took B over to play. He understood that you try to hit the ball in the hole, but didn't understand that all of the balls were not his. He wanted to hit all of the ball's and it was really funny to watch him work his way around the course. We enjoyed our time in West Texas and hope that Bryan and Bob had a great Father's Day.
