Let's Rodeo San Antonio

This year for Valentines, we spent the weekend in San Antonio with Aunt T & Uncle D. Friday night Bryan drove over from Houston to meet us. We got a babysitter for Brooks and headed to the rodeo. Now, I must say I am not your typical rodeo queen. Can count on one hand how many I've been to in my life. BUT, this was so much fun!! We had a blast. The people who participate in these events are athletes of their own kind and TOUGH as nails. The horses were beautiful. The Goo Goo Dolls were the entertainment that night. They are in their fifties and you could tell. They looked old and just like worn out rock stars. Their songs were popular when we were in college. The lead singer forgot several words to one of their big hits and just hummed. It was really funny. On Saturday, we took Brooks to the fair. It was cloudy, cold, and he had an ear infection so I wasn't sure how he would act. Oh, and did I mention, had woken up at 6AM for the second day in a row???
Not a happy mama...
He had a great time, ate yummy fair food, and won a Diego & Spiderman. What more could a 3 year old little boy ask for?

Brooks' first time to go to the fair.

Mommy & Daddy forgot the stroller & were very sorry by the end of the afternoon.
Heaven on earth for Brooks, a giant pit of balls

Bryan showing Brooks how to hold & then throw the dart at the balloon. He hit three and won a spiderman. We were shocked when he hit one let alone three!!

His smile is infectious...

Cutie pie boys of mine!!

My favorite thing about a fair is the carousel, probably because it's the only ride that won't make me sick.

On another note, please keep my special friend Holly in your prayers. She is pregnant, due late April with a precious baby girl and had some pre-term labor yesterday. Had to spend one night in the hospital, but is now home. She'll be on bed rest for 8 weeks. I have thought about and prayed for her all day.

I laughed about the "rodeo queen" comment...you mean you didn't have your Wranglers and boots and hat ready to go?!

Rhett would have loved that Scooby!

Sounds like a fun time!

I also laughed about the carousel being the only ride that doesn't make you sick...I'm the same way!!! Only I have to even concentrate on the scenery around the carousel or it can even make me feel weird!? I'm such a fun person to go to an amusement park with--I can't ride rides and I don't like hot dogs and other typical amusement park/fair food! ha!
